Safiya was designed as a sanctuary — quiet enough to read for hours, social enough for two couples or a small family. Two ensuite bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living room, and a pool surrounded by palm and jackfruit trees.

The house was built around the trees, not in spite of them. Monkeys visit the railing in the morning, kingfishers cross the pool at dusk, and a short tuk-tuk ride brings you down to the beach. It's the kind of place where guests cancel onward plans.
